A marketplace exchange notice is a notice that is required to be provided to a consumer by a marketplace facilitator, as defined in Section 3 of the Uniform Commercial Code, that facilitates a taxable sale by a seller on the marketplace facilitator's marketplace. The marketplace exchange notice must be provided to the consumer at the time of the sale. The notice must include: (1) the name, address, and telephone number of the marketplace facilitator; (2) the date of the sale; (3) the total amount of the sale, including any taxes, fees, or shipping and handling charges; and (4) a statement that the consumer should retain the notice for their records.
