Uhip UOFT is the University of Toronto's health insurance plan, designed to provide protection for all domestic and international students on the University of Toronto's St. George, Mississauga, and Scarborough campuses.
Uhip UOFT covers a wide range of unexpected medical and allied health services, including emergency, specialists, hospital, and medical imaging services.
-Emergency care: emergency medical services if you become ill or injured and need emergency care, including emergency room services, ambulance services and out-of-province emergency medical services.
-Specialists: Access to a wide range of specialist physicians and surgeons, depending on the plan you select.
-Hospital services: Hospital services, such as hospital wards and diagnostic tests, depending on the plan you select.
-Prescription drugs: Reimbursement for prescribed drugs and other medications that are approved by UHIP UOFT.
-Medical Imaging: Covers majority of the costs for X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds and other forms of medical imaging.
-Allied Health services: Covers a variety of therapy services such as physiotherapy, chiropractic, osteopathy, and podiatry.
-Mental Health services: Covers costs for mental health counselling and services for specified mental and/or behavioural illnesses.
-Vision Care: Covers the cost of eye exams and materials for eyeglasses or contact lenses.
-Dental Care. Covers the cost of dental check-ups and 80% of the cost of emergency services, fillings and dental emergencies.
